Christian Johnson, CFP®
Director of Operations, Financial Advisor
Christian Johnson, CFP®, joined California Financial Partners in 2011 after beginning his career as an accountant during Qualtrics' early startup years. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS in Accounting, gaining experience building financial systems and organizing operational workflows. These skills have continued to support his work as the firm has grown.
Christian began his time at the firm as an administrative assistant to the founder, Harvey Jacobson. He was the ninth assistant hired in ten years, and the role required a high level of detail, responsiveness, and technical accuracy. Harvey mentored Christian under the philosophy of “serve first and let the pay take care of itself,” a principle that Christian continues to apply in his work today. Through this mentorship, he also gained grounding in client communication, holistic planning, and the core areas of estate, insurance, and investment planning.
Today, Christian serves as both a financial advisor and the Director of Operations. He supports the firm’s advisors with their compliance responsibilities, oversees internal processes and technology systems, and helps maintain the high standard of service that clients expect. In addition to his operational duties, Christian manages his own client relationships and works directly with a wide range of clients, including families, retirees, young couples, and companies seeking guidance on their 401(k) and retirement plan strategies. He holds the Series 7 and 66 registrations with LPL Financial and maintains a California Life & Health insurance license (CA Lic. #0K26161).
Christian is also an avid endurance athlete. He has completed numerous trail races and recently finished his first 100-mile ultramarathon, the Kodiak 100 in Big Bear. This accomplishment reflects his commitment to discipline, planning, and long-term goals, both personally and professionally.
Christian and his wife, Alondra, are raising an active family in Southern California. Although he did not grow up skiing, he began learning alongside his oldest child, Silas, when Silas was three and Christian was thirty. Silas and Lake (and Christian) are skiing confidently now, Dane has just started, and Prescott will join them on the slopes when he turns three. They participate in various sports throughout the year and join their parents on frequent hikes and outdoor adventures.
Christian also volunteers as Treasurer on the board of his children’s elementary school and serves on the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (COBC) for the Glendale Unified School District, helping ensure transparency and accountability in the use of local bond funds.
